Job summary

Penn State Health in Reading, PA seeks a Surgical Services Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for a full-time, 1.0 FTE role with varied shifts. The APP will deliver daytime and overnight surgical coverage across perioperative and inpatient care, including rounding, first assist, ACS consultations, and discharge planning, within ACS/general surgery and subspecialties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or higher degree meeting licensure requirements in the State of employment.
• National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rounding, surgical first assistance, and ACS consultations.
• Preoperative and postoperative care, discharge planning, and coordination of care across multidisciplinary teams.
• Cross-coverage for surgical services during overnight hours to ensure 24/7 access to APP-level care.
