Job summary

Penn State Health in Reading, PA is seeking a Surgical Services Advanced Practice Provider to join a fast-paced surgical team. The APP delivers daytime and overnight support across perioperative and inpatient care, with autonomy and teamwork at the core.

You’ll assist in ACS, general surgery, and subspecialties, perform rounds, first assistance, pre/postop care, discharge planning, and coordinate care with surgeons, nurses, and case management; a growth-oriented role.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing required.
• National certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
• Current Pennsylvania CRNP license.
• Minimum two years of RN experience.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rounding and daytime coverage.
• Surgical first assistance and ACS consultations.
• Preoperative and postoperative care and discharge planning.
• Care coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
• Overnight cross-coverage for Surgical Services within role scope.
