Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced Surgical Orthopedic Coder for a contract-to-hire role. You will review and assign ICD-10 and CPT codes for orthopedic services and support coding decisions with strong accuracy.

Responsibilities include coding diagnostics, procedures, and surgical services across hip, knee, neck, spine, and extremities, while maintaining high accuracy and collaborating with the team. Remote-friendly with onsite VA opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of orthopedic/surgical coding experience.
• Active CPC or CCS-P certification.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Code diagnostics, follow-up visits, procedures, and surgical services.
• Review charts involving hip and shoulder replacements, neck and back surgeries, and foot/ankle procedures.
• Cover sports medicine, imaging, and therapy services as needed.
• Maintain a minimum 95% coding accuracy and clearly explain coding decisions.
• Collaborate with team members and share orthopedic coding expertise.

• Neck and back surgeries
• Foot and ankle procedures
• Sports medicine
• Imaging and therapy services
• Maintain a minimum 95% coding accuracy
• Clearly explain and support coding decisions when needed
• Collaborate with team members and share orthopedic coding expertise
