Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking an experienced Surgical Orthopedic Coder for a contract-to-hire role in the United States. You will review and assign ICD-10 and CPT codes for orthopedic services, including implants and joint replacements, spine procedures, and related surgeries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of orthopedic coding experience, active CPC or CCS-P, strong ICD-10/CPT knowledge, EPIC proficiency, and the ability to work independently while communicating

Qualifications

• 3 years of orthopedic/surgical coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Active CPC or CCS-P certification.
• EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review and assign accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes for orthopedic services.
• Code diagnostics, follow-up visits, procedures, and surgical services.
• Review charts involving hip/shoulder replacements, neck/back surgeries, foot/ankle procedures, sports medicine, imaging and therapy.
• Maintain a minimum 95% coding accuracy.
• Explain and support coding decisions when needed.
• Collaborate with team and share orthopedic coding expertise.
