Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prior OR experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and supplies for each procedure.
• Assist surgeons and nurses by passing instruments and maintaining aseptic technique.
• Ensure proper sterilization and instrument counts before, during, and after procedures.
• Manage inventory of surgical supplies to prevent delays.
• Document procedures and support safe OR turnover.
