Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist I to support the operating room team in New Jersey. You will assist surgeons with sterile instruments, maintain aseptic technique, and help prepare the OR before and after procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 0–2 years of ST experience, and AST/NA credentialing as applicable by state law. A comprehensive benefits package and on-site hospital teamwork are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of experience as a surgical technologist.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team with aseptic technique and instrument handling.
• Prepare operating room setups and drape instruments per procedure.
• Maintain sterile field and assist with scrubbing, gowning, gloving.
• Monitor for emergencies and assist circulator as needed.
• Adhere to policies, infection control and OSHA standards.
