Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids seeks a Surgical Technologist for the Butterworth Hospital OR to support 21 operating rooms around the clock, focusing on trauma, orthopedics, and neuro cases.

You will prepare the surgical suite, maintain sterile technique, handle instruments intraoperatively, and monitor evolving conditions; may serve as a preceptor for staff and students. A surgical technology credential and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• AHA/ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: prior Surgical Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite and maintain sterile field.
• Intraoperative handling of instruments and equipment.
• Monitor changing conditions and respond appropriately during procedures.
• May serve as a Preceptor for students or new staff.
