Job summary

Bon Secours is hiring a Perioperative Attendant to support surgical teams at St. Francis Downtown. You will help prepare operating rooms, position patients, and handle equipment to ensure smooth procedural flow.

Requires a high school diploma and is preferred to have BLS; one year perioperative experience is advantageous. Role reports to the Outpatient Surgery Center team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred)
• One-year perioperative experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Performs daily set-up of the surgical suites and room turnover between cases, keeping a clean, orderly OR.
• Assists with patient positioning, lifting and transfers; performs sterile holds as needed.
• Restocks and maintains supplies and linens for surgery/anesthesia; reports shortages to supervisor.
• Sets up equipment and positioning devices for surgery; reports broken or missing equipment.
• Transports patients between departments as needed; obtains clean inpatient beds and stretchers as required.
• Responds to requests and runs errands between departments as needed.
• Performs patient POCT as needed and daily QC checks on POCT devices.
