The role encompasses scrub and circulating responsibilities, assisting the surgeon with hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure, and ensuring proper patient positioning throughout the procedure.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through eNLC.
• CPR certification.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Responsibilities

• Delivers professional nursing care in preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative settings.
• Performs scrub functions including instrument and supply handling used during procedures.
• Performs circulating functions including monitoring patient condition and coordinating nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
• Assists operating physician with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
