Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Technician - Surgical Oncology at Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus. The role supports patient care under an RN, with a focus on comfort and safety for patients in a fast-paced oncology setting.

The position works 24 hours weekly, with 7:00am–7:30pm shifts and a weekend/holiday track. CPR certification and nursing assistant training or equivalent experience are required.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or completion of one nursing clinical rotation.
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritise, ability to receive and follow through on directions.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care tasks and procedures to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients under the direction of an Registered Nurse (RN) and established procedures.
