Endeavor Health's Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus is seeking a Patient Care Technician - Surgical Oncology for a part-time schedule (24 hours/week). Shifts run 7:00am–7:30pm with every 3rd weekend and holiday track.

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you perform patient care tasks to support comfort and safety. CPR certification is required; CNA training or equivalent experience is preferred.

Formación

• CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of patient care experience or CNA equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation.
• Successful completion of the care Companion Course within six months if required by the department.

Responsabilidades

• Under RN direction, performs patient care tasks and procedures to provide for patient comfort, safety and well-being.
• Assist with routine procedures and monitor patient status as assigned.
• Prioritize tasks and communicate changes to the care team to ensure coordinated care.

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Patient Care Technician - Surgical Oncology
• Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126
• PART-TIME 24/hrs. per week
• Hours: 7:00am-7:30pm with every 3rd weekend and holiday track

What you will do:

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need:

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six monthsof previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
