Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Surgical Oncology Advanced Practitioner (PA) to join our network at Norwalk and Danbury Hospitals in Connecticut. The role includes outpatient and inpatient care, independent clinic duties, and potential OR assistance for qualified candidates.

The position supports postoperative and long-term follow-up care for patients with GI cancers, melanoma, sarcoma and other surgical oncology cases, with a competitive compensation package and CME/Dues allowances.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Physician Assistant with strong training and/or experience in surgery.
• Ability to see, evaluate and plan care for postoperative patients independently.
• Willingness to assist in the operating room for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• See patients with surgeons prior to surgery and independently in follow-up.
• Assist with inpatient care, discharge planning and follow-up visits.
• Assist with a range of cancer surgeries including GI and pancreatic procedures.
• Manage postoperative wounds and drain care and ensure clear care plans.
