Northwell Health Medical Practice in Connecticut seeks a Surgical Oncology Advanced Practitioner (PA) to join our Norwalk and Danbury Hospitals program. The role entails outpatient and inpatient care for complex cancer surgery patients, including GI, colorectal, pancreatic, liver cancers, melanoma and sarcoma, at Norwalk's Whittingham Cancer Center and Danbury Hospital's Praxair Cancer Center.

The ideal candidate is a board certified Physician Assistant with strong training and/or experience in

Formación

• Board certified Physician Assistant with surgery experience.
• Independent clinic experience to see, evaluate and manage postoperative patients.
• Eligible to assist in the OR for qualified candidates.

Responsabilidades

• See patients with surgeons prior to surgery and independently in follow up after surgery.
• Assist with inpatient care, discharge instructions and follow-up planning.
• Assist in various oncologic surgeries within GI, liver, melanoma and sarcoma panels.
• Manage postoperative wounds and drains and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with GI oncology nurse navigator, dietitians and other specialists.
