Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced practice care in a Surgical Oncology setting. The role collaborates with surgical oncologists and a multidisciplinary team across ambulatory and operating room settings.

The position supports preoperative through postoperative management, participates in robotic-assisted procedures when applicable, and welcomes new graduates to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or an accredited Physician Assistant Program.

Responsibilities

• Clinical care: assessment, triage and therapeutic management within an interdisciplinary team.
• Preoperative, perioperative and postoperative management of surgical oncology patients.
• Assist with surgical procedures and provide perioperative support in the operating room.
• Education and psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
