Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to join our growing surgical team. This hybrid role combines operating room support for robotic-assisted procedures with inpatient management of hospitalized surgical patients, across specialties including urology, orthopedics, spine, and plastics.

The APP will assist in robotic cases, participate in perioperative care, and provide postoperative management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; graduate of a Physician Assistant Program approved by the AMA.
• Massachusetts Physician Assistant License or Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner License.
• National NCCPA certification; DEA registration if prescribing medications.
• 1–2 years of prior inpatient hospital experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with patients, families, physicians, staff, and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations following standards of practice and procedures.
• Obtain complete medical histories of patients.
• Perform physical examinations; order and interpret diagnostics.
• Formulate diagnosis and treatment plans; prescribe/dispense medications.
• Discharge planning and coordination of care with multidisciplinary teams.
