Job summary

Yale New Haven Health seeks a General Surgery Physician Assistant to join the surgical team in Bridgeport, CT. The PA will provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management across inpatient, ambulatory, and OR settings, serving as a key link between surgeons and patients.

Responsibilities include assisting in a range of procedures from laparoscopic to minimally invasive, managing pre- and post-operative care, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Prefer clinical working experience as a PA within the given specialty/service line.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with operative cases as first or second assistant when within scope and prerequisites.
• Educate patients/families on care and discharge plans, resources, and follow-up.
