Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an experienced Surgical PA/NP to provide independent first assist support across multiple subspecialties at Bridgeport Hospital. The role requires readiness to operate in a high-volume environment with diverse operative exposure.

The candidate should have prior surgical PA experience, valid PA credentials, and be prepared to work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team. This is a full-time position based in Bridgeport, CT.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Current NCCPA certification and Connecticut PA license.
• ACLS/BLS certification as applicable for position.
• Experience as PA in a surgical setting with independent first assist experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, triage and therapeutic management as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May function as first or second assistant on operative cases in scope and prerequisites.
• Educate patients/families on care and discharge planning.
• Maintain documentation per hospital policies and regulations.
