Job summary

Sanford Health—Bemidji is seeking a Surgical Materials Associate to ensure OR equipment, implants, and supplies are available when needed. You will review cases, monitor equipment, and coordinate with the OR team and physicians to plan and acquire items for surgery.

The role requires attention to detail, stamina, and the ability to work with EMR and inventory systems (EPIC, OneReport, Tecsys, Lawson) to maintain safe, efficient case flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree or post‑secondary education preferred.
• Three to five years of experience as a LPN, Surgical Technologist, or in inventory management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review cases and preference cards; monitor OR equipment and supplies.
• Foster relationships with the OR and coordinate requests for equipment, implants, and supplies.
• Collaborate with inter‑professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan and coordinate care for the surgical patient.
• Plan and acquire items used in surgery and assess changes in the surgical schedule to facilitate case flow.
