Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent (REQUIRED).
• 3 years of Operating Room Materials Management experience (REQUIRED).
• 3 years of purchasing and OR inventory management experience (REQUIRED).
• Knowledge of health care management and medical terminology (REQUIRED).
• Experience with sterile technique in OR functions (REQUIRED).
• Experience with OR instrumentation and equipment function (REQUIRED).
• Knowledge of OR inventory processes and mathematical concepts (REQUIRED).
• Strong data analysis to evaluate products and costs; ability to generate reports (REQUIRED).
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with multiple staff and vendors (REQUIRED).
• Desirable: Associate's degree and CMRP certification

Responsibilities

• Monitor surgical inventories in all OR areas and set par levels for supplies.
• Control supply-related expenses within the approved budget.
• Coordinate communications between surgical services, materials management, and Central Supply.
• Coordinate repairs and replacement of instruments and equipment.
• Participate in Product Evaluation Committee and OR/Materials Management task forces.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
