Job summary

Atrium Health Cleveland is seeking a Practical Nurse for its 5E Surgical unit in Shelby, NC. The role involves direct patient care, planning and coordination under the supervision of the registered nurse, and delivering safe, evidence-based nursing services on a part-time schedule.

Qualifying candidates will have a Practical Nursing program completion and must obtain BLS; an LPN license is required. The unit handles diverse surgical cases and emphasizes teamwork and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per policies and standards.
• Assist assessment by documenting data and responses; report changes.
• Help develop and implement the plan of care with the RN.
• Support patient teaching per the care plan.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses clearly.
• Communicate changes in orders to the RN.
• Perform clinical tasks such as med administration and IV therapy.
