Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC, a 241-bed hospital, is hiring an LPN for our 32-bed med-surg unit.

The role provides direct patient care, assists with assessments and care plans, teaches patients, documents responses, and communicates changes to the RN.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program, active LPN license, and BLS certification within 6 months.

Formación

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• LPN license active in the practicing state.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer skills and EMR experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct patient care according to established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Assists with assessment by collecting and documenting data and responses.
• Assists with developing the plan of care and implements as directed by the RN.
• Supports and reinforces patient teaching according to plan of care.
• Documents performance of nursing interventions and patient responses and communicates changes to the RN.
• Performs clinical tasks such as medication administration and IV therapy.
• Assists with patient positioning and transporting duties with proper technique.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific care and growth/development principles.
