Job summary

Hospital for Special Surgery is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Technician to support Ambulatory Surgery Center operations. You will maintain stock levels of implants and supplies to ensure clinicians have the resources needed for high-quality patient care.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience with inventory systems, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Business or related field preferred.
• Experience in inventory management required.
• Experience with surgical supplies or perioperative environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain par levels of surgical supplies, implants, and inventory in the Ambulatory Surgery Center.
• Monitor inventory levels using electronic inventory management systems.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against vendor packing slips.
• Stock and organize surgical supplies in designated storage locations to ensure accessibility and accuracy.
• Assist with daily flow and replenishment of surgical supplies to support clinical operations.
• Respond to requests from clinical teams using Vocera and provide customer service.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and leadership to support inventory control and efficiency.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and patient care.
