Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to support surgical and procedural services with implant, tissue, instrumentation, and specialty product activities across assigned clinical areas.

You will liaise with clinical teams, vendors, sterile processing, and supply chain partners to ensure product availability, readiness, and continuity of patient care. This role emphasizes accuracy and proactive communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in materials management, inventory control, or procurement (2–3 years) required; Implant/Tissue Management experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, understand medical terminology and follow forms/records for equipment processing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate implant, tissue, instrumentation, and specialty product requests for case readiness.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, vendors, sterile processing, and supply chain partners for timely delivery and availability.
• Initiate and track requisitions to support inventory availability and procedural readiness.
• Maintain assigned inventory locations with organization, labeling, storage integrity and accuracy.
• Monitor inventory levels, par levels, and product utilization; initiate replenishment to minimize shortages and waste.
• Coordinate communication related to back orders, substitutions, and supply continuity issues affecting surgical services.
• Support inventory tracking, documentation, and reconciliation using inventory management systems and RFID technology.
• Serve as a resource to clinical and operational teams regarding specialty products and supply continuity.
• Participate in initiatives related to inventory optimization and workflow improvements.
