Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support surgical implants. You’ll manage implants, coordinate orders, and maintain accurate records in Lawson, ensuring availability while minimizing waste.

The role partners with surgeons, OR managers, and Sterile Processing to optimize par levels and forecast needs to prevent outages. Strong communication, computer skills, and knowledge of hospital supply chains are essential; a CST or related education is

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in inventory control and purchasing or 2 years in surgical services or as a surgical vendor representative.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience with surgical implants is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research products and provides substitution suggestions as needed.
• Maintains accurate files and data on all materials purchased.
• Orders, receives, and coordinates all implants.
• Quality check’s location uploads to Lawson and uses forecasting to adjust par levels.
• Collaborates with surgeons, OR managers, and Sterile Processing to ensure adequate supplies for scheduled cases.
