Job summary

Jefferson Health in Philadelphia seeks a Surgical Services Instrument Coordinator to manage surgical instrumentation, loaner trays and related equipment across the OR and procedural areas. You will oversee owned, consigned, and loaned inventories and run the instrument-tracking system, interfacing with EMR and SPIS to support safe, timely care.

Collaborate with SPCC, OR staff, Educator and Manager on policies, perform data analysis for par levels, and coordinate reprocessing plans to prevent

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Specialized Diploma Graduate of a certified sterile processing technician training program.
• 2 years of sterile processing and/or operating room experience including surgical tech experience
• Less than 1 year Experience managing inventory, preferably surgical instrument inventory
• Less than 1 year Experience with MS Office Applications
• Less than 1 year Experience with Enterprise Software such as EMR, HIS, ORIS, SPIS

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Coordinates instrument inventory and assists in ordering and maintaining pars
• Collaborates with OR staff to ensure sufficient instrumentation is available
• Coordinates reprocessing plan with SPCC Supervisors and alerts them as surgical timeline shifts
• Participates in project planning and implementation by recommending inventory modifications to align with OR usage
