MedStar Health in Washington, DC is seeking a registered nurse to deliver proficient care to patients with a range of complexity from uncomplicated to highly complex. The role reports to the Nurse Leader and collaborates with the clinical coach and care team.

You will develop and document individualized care plans, advocate for patients, document data, and participate in unit committees and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• DC state licensure or compact licensure required.
• CPR certification for healthcare providers within 90 days.
• C-EFM certification required within 12 months (15 months for new grads).
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Identify and analyze complex patient care problems and plan interventions.
• Collaborate with nurse leaders to develop standards of care.
• Develop and document individualized plans of care for highly complex patients.
• Advocate for patients and communicate concerns to the care team.
• Coordinate and document patient information reflecting pathophysiology and treatment.
• Participate in unit committees and quality improvement activities.
