Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Critical Care SICU at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. This full-time, 40-hour weekly role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility to meet department needs and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will lead Clinical Outcomes quality and safety initiatives, drive performance-improvement activities, manage staffing and budgets, mentor leadership, and partner with Medical Chairs and Directors to implement

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
• 3–5 years of experience in the specialty area.
• Management development training with progressive supervisory assignments.
• Board Certification within two years of hire.
• Annual CEU requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Achieve site and system goals for Clinical Outcomes in all areas of responsibility.
• Lead performance improvement activities to enhance department and organizational outcomes.
• Ensure quality and safety of care delivery through competency training and adherence to safety culture initiatives.
• Develop and facilitate review of department policies, procedures and protocols; interpret policies to staff.
• Communicate with staff and other departments to implement corrective actions for identified deficiencies.
• Develop annual goals for the department aligned with nursing strategic plan.
• Advocate for staffing and resources to ensure excellent health outcomes.
• Partner with Medical Chairs and Directors to implement evidence-based practice and shared governance.
