Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for the Critical Care unit at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. The role is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday with flexibility to meet department needs.

Responsibilities include leading PI initiatives, ensuring quality and safety, managing budgets, collaborating with medical chairs and directors, and promoting shared governance. Requires BSN, Illinois RN license, and 3–5 years of management experience.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a specialty area with management experience.
• BSN minimum and active Illinois RN licensure.
• Board Certification within two years of hire is preferred.
• Experience leading performance improvement and shared governance.
• Knowledge of ACNS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage budgets and staffing resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance improvement activities to achieve clinical outcomes goals.
• Develop, maintain and revise PI plans for areas of responsibility.
• Ensure quality and safety of care delivery with competency training.
• Communicate with staff and departments to respond quickly to deficiencies.
• Develop annual department goals aligned with nursing strategic plan.
• Coordinate staffing and resources with medical chairs and directors.
