Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA is seeking a Surgical First Assistant to support the surgeon with exposure, hemostasis, and closure during procedures. This role requires CSFA/CSA certification or equivalent and prior scrub tech experience.

You will work under the surgeon’s supervision to ensure safe operations, equipment readiness, and adherence to sterility protocols, while contributing to a patient-centered care model and a strong safety culture.

Formación

• Basic Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) or SA-C.
• 2 years of experience as a Surgical Scrub Tech.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates accountability for quality and safety goals.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients and staff and follows protocols to optimize patient safety.
• Performs intraoperative tasks under surgeon supervision and ensures equipment is functioning properly.
• Assists with setup and breakdown of OR suites and maintains sterility and aseptic technique.
• Supports patient-centered care and adheres to hospital policies and standards.

BLS within 30 days

CSFA/CSA/SAC
