Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with vocational/technical training.
• 0–2 years of healthcare/clinical experience; paid experience preferred.
• CSFA or CSA certification is preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs on procedures and assists with patient movement, positioning and draping.
• Retacts tissue and exposes operative field for optimal visualization.
• Maintains hemostasis with clamping, tying and suturing as directed.
• Assists in incision closure with sutures, staples, adhesives and wound dressings.
• Prepares and stages instruments and supplies; supports turnover and cleaning.
• Upholds aseptic technique and universal precautions; reports breaches.
