Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Surgical Technologist First Assistant to support operative procedures. Under RN direction, you will set up and maintain the surgical field and assist the surgeon during operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, CFA/ARC-ST or CAAHEP training preferred, and licensure options including CSA, SA-C, or CSFA. Expect on-call duties and a weekend rotation with 12-hour weekend shifts.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CFA/ARC-ST or CAAHEP certification preferred for First Assistant.

Responsabilidades

• Provide surgical first assist support under RN direction, set up and maintain the surgical field.
• Assist surgeon during operative procedures, ensuring patient safety.
• Position patients safely under RN supervision and prepare surgical equipment and instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgeon to optimize exposure and manage hemostasis.
• Assist in wound closure and dressing application; secure drainage as needed.
