Mount Carmel Health System seeks a Surgical Technologist First Assist in Columbus, OH to support the surgeon during operations and maintain the sterile field under RN supervision.

The role requires CFA/CAAHEP-preferred credentials, applicable certifications, and knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Includes on-call/weekend rotation with competitive benefits and daily-pay options. Equal opportunity employer.

Competenze

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a CFA program through ARC-ST or CAAHEP preferred.
• Licensure/certification: CSA, SA-C, CSFA or NBSTSA-CSFA equivalents.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, physics, and math.

Mansioni

• Performs within the surgeon's scope and assists during operative procedures.
• Sets up and maintains the surgical field under RN direction.
• Assists in positioning patients safely under nursing supervision.
• Prepares surgical case equipment, supplies, and instruments.
• Collaborates with the surgeon to provide exposure and hemostasis.
