Job summary

• Current CPR certification; Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Required.

• Assumes responsibility for the care and safety of the patient, instrumentation, supplies and equipment during the surgical procedure.
• Ensures effective communication with the circulator, charge nurse, patient, surgeon and anesthesia; maintains sterile field integrity and assists in exposure, hemostasis and closure.
