MAX Surgical Specialty Management is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant for Coastal Oral Surgery, floating between Toms River, Sea Girt, and Brick, NJ. You will support Oral Surgeons in a fast-paced setting, prepare rooms, and help educate patients on post-operative care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid X-ray license is required.
• Previous experience as a dental assistant, particularly in Oral Surgery, is highly desirable.
• Discharge experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, instruments, and materials.
• Familiarity with infection control protocols and safety measures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in dental software and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the treatment room: keep it clean, organized, and stocked; sterilize instruments; set up equipment.
• Assist Oral Surgeons during procedures, prep patients, and maintain sterile field.
• Provide post-operative care instructions and educate patients on oral health.
• Schedule appointments, manage records, and assist with billing and insurance documentation.
