Job summary

NJ Oral & Facial Surgery in Howell and Monroe NJ is seeking a skilled Oral Surgery/Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced, patient-focused team. You will work alongside experienced oral surgeons, assisting during extractions, implants, and facial procedures, while ensuring a clean operatory and accurate records.

The role requires dental radiography certification or licensure, CPR/BLS preferred, and a compassionate chairside manner.

Qualifications

• Certified dental radiography/X-ray license required or able to obtain.
• Experience as dental/oral surgery assistant preferred.
• Strong chairside manner and patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during extractions, implants, and facial surgeries.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments; maintain a clean operatory.
• Take and process dental X-rays and CBCT scans as needed.
• Monitor patient sedation and post-operative care.
• Educate patients on pre- and post-operative instructions.
• Document accurate patient records and treatment notes.
• Maintain inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
