Specialty1 Partners in Clifton, NJ is seeking a dental assistant to join our busy oral and maxillofacial practice. You will support the dentist with four-handed dentistry, seat patients, sterilize instruments, and maintain patient records while delivering exceptional care.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of experience, an active radiology license, and a strong focus on safety, organization, and patient comfort. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ years of proven experience as dental assistant; specialty is preferred.
• X-Ray license required; state radiology license may be required by law.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• A strong attention to detail; well-organized and reliable.
• A high school diploma; certificate from an accredited dental assistant program if required by law.
• Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods and operate standard office equipment.
• Must be able to assist patients safely in/out of chairs and maintain clinical positioning.
• Must be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards; respond quickly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients to the dental office and ensuring comfort.
• Preparing patients for treatment and setting up instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Sterilizing instruments according to regulations.
• Assisting dentist through four-handed dentistry.
• Providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Maintaining patient records and assisting with payment procedures.
• Scheduling appointments and coordinating other office responsibilities as needed.
