Job summary

Alomere Health in Minnesota is seeking a Unit Support for the Surgical Day Care team to help keep the Surgical Services Department running safely and efficiently under the supervision of RNs, performing tasks that support patient care.

Responsibilities include setting up preoperative, procedure, and operating rooms, maintaining supplies, sterilization of instruments, monitoring QA standards, transporting patients, and assisting with admitting/discharging.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup of preoperative, procedure, and operating rooms by ensuring the room is clean and equipment is available
• Maintain inventory of surgical and patient care supplies
• Ensure instruments are sterilized and handled per policies
• Perform biological and chemical monitoring according to QA standards
• Safely transport patients between hospital areas
• Assist nursing with patient admitting and discharging
