Alomere Health in Alexandria, MN is hiring for Unit Support to join the Surgical Day Care team. You will help ensure the Surgical Services Department runs efficiently and safely, supporting preop through discharge under RN supervision.

The role requires a High School Diploma with strong communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, plus knowledge of basic medical terminology. Union position with full-time benefits and no weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Prior experience in a similar role preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup of preoperative, procedure, and operating rooms ensuring room cleanliness and readiness.
• Maintain inventory of surgical and patient care supplies.
• Sterilize instruments and monitor sterilization per QA standards.
• Safely transport patients between hospital departments.
• Assist nursing with admitting and discharging patients.
