Job summary

Alomere Health in Minnesota seeks a Unit Support member for Surgical Day Care to keep the department running efficiently and safely. You will assist with OR setup, maintain supplies, and support patient admissions and discharges under RN supervision.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, problem solving, and basic medical terminology knowledge; HS diploma required, with prior similar-role experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup of preoperative, procedure, and operating rooms; ensure room and equipment are clean and ready.
• Maintain inventory of surgical and patient care supplies.
• Maintain knowledge of policies on cleaning and sterilization of instruments.
• Perform biological and chemical monitoring per quality assurance standards.
• Safely transport patients between hospital departments.
• Adhere to endoscope and instrument disinfection guidelines.
• Assist nursing with admitting and discharging patients.
• Perform related duties in a professional and responsive manner.
• Demonstrate ability to use relevant equipment.
• Support Alomere Health’s mission, policies and values.
