Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners is seeking a Surgical Coordinator to deliver exceptional patient experiences and coordinate surgical schedules, including pre- and post-operative communications.

The role requires strong people skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Word and Excel; ophthalmic experience is preferred but not required. Competitive benefits and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• Must be patient service focused with the ability to deliver high patient satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills; able to build relationships and provide a positive experience for patients.
• Ability to present pricing and financing options to patients.
• Ophthalmic/optometric experience is preferred but not required.
• Proficient with standard office software (Word & Excel); capable of multi-tasking professionally.
• Exemplary organizational skills; willingness to be cross-trained and cover for staff.

Responsibilities

• Liaison to patients; assist with paperwork; create and maintain accurate patient files and update databases; schedule appointments.
• Assist patients regarding surgery dates, book consultations and surgery, discuss pre- and post-op instructions.
• Discuss surgical cost with patients, based on benefits, and answer questions about payment and financing.
• Handle timely follow-up with prospective and current patients.
• Prepare patient charts for surgery and provide support before, during and after surgery.
• Collect surgery payments; process financing; maintain monthly and yearly financial reports.
• Ensure patients have a positive experience in-person or on the phone.
