Cedars-Sinai in Minnesota seeks an experienced Coding Specialist to assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for patients across multiple specialties. Under supervision, you will ensure accurate coding, appropriate modifiers, and compliant documentation to support optimal reimbursement.

Requirements include CPC certification, at least 2 years of surgical coding experience, and familiarity with ICD-10-CM and CPT-4. Knowledge of California and national reporting requirements preferred.

Formación

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required.
• Certified Orthopaedic Surgery Coder (COSC) certification preferred.
• CIRCC (Certified Interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Coder) certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience performing ICD-10 and CPT code assignments in a health care setting.

Responsabilidades

• Assigns ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for patients using official coding guidelines.
• Assigns modifiers to ensure optimal reimbursement and data quality.
• Adheres to coding regulations and Medicare rules across procedures and visits.
• Maintains confidentiality and complies with policies of the coding department.
• Attends seminars/workshops for updates on coding rules and regulations.
