Lincoln Surgical Hospital in Lincoln, NE seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to support the nursing team during the surgical experience. You will assist patients with daily care needs and help maintain a safe, comfortable clinical environment while working within the CNA scope.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, infection control, and teamwork in a fast-paced surgical setting with daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• Current Nebraska Nursing Assistant certification from a state-approved training program required.
• Must have active Nebraska CNA certification prior to beginning employment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care needs.
• Ambulate and assist patients as directed by nursing staff.
• Safely position patients to ensure comfort and meet individual care requirements.
• Obtain, document, and report vital signs to the appropriate nurse.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked patient care environment.
• Replenish supplies and equipment as needed.
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols, including standard precautions and proper use of PPE.
• Support the nursing team in delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
