Lincoln Surgical Hospital in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support the nursing team throughout the surgical experience. You will assist patients with daily care, monitor comfort and safety, and help maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.

Qualifications

Tuesday - Friday | 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant supports the nursing team in providing high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience. This role is responsible for assisting patients with daily care needs and contributing to a safe, comfortable, and efficient clinical environment while working within the scope of CNA certification.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care needs.
• Ambulate and assist patients as directed by nursing staff.
• Safely position patients to ensure comfort and meet individual care requirements.
• Obtain, document, and report vital signs to the appropriate nurse.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked patient care environment.
• Replenish supplies and equipment as needed.
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols, including standard precautions and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support the nursing team in delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Nebraska Nursing Assistant certification from a state-approved training program required. Must have active Nebraska CNA certification prior to beginning employment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at the time of hire.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting preferred.
