Job summary

Lincoln Surgical Hospital in Lincoln, NE is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff and deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment.

You will assist with activities of daily living, ambulate patients, position safely, document vital signs, and help keep areas clean while following PPE and safety protocols.

This full-time role offers 72 hours per pay period with three 12-hour shifts, self-scheduling, and light weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• Nebraska CNA certification from a state-approved training program.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Food preparation/cook permit within 7 days of hire.
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Ambulate patients as directed.
• Safely and comfortably position patients based on individual needs.
• Obtain, record, and report vital signs to the nurse.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas; stock and replenish supplies and equipment as needed.
• Follow standard precautions and properly use PPE.

Schedule

• Full-time, 72 hours per pay period (biweekly)


• Three 12-hour shifts per week: 5:45 AM – 6:15 PM


• Self-scheduling available


• Minimal weekend requirements: 2 Fridays, 1 Saturday, and 1 Sunday within a 6-week period

Position Summary

In this role, you will assist nursing staff in delivering comprehensive patient care within the scope of your certification, helping ensure a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for every patient.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living
