Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice and active.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS required within facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient-centered nursing care based on standards and nursing process.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Documents all aspects of patient care clearly and accurately.
• Monitors, evaluates, and communicates patient condition to care team, patient, and family.
• Coordinates and collaborates with surgical/interdisciplinary teams for optimal care.
• Assists in patient transfer, discharge, and referrals as needed.
• Educates patients and families on surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and post-operative care.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients throughout the perioperative process.
