Job summary

Watertown Regional Medical Center, an acute-care hospital in southeastern Wisconsin, seeks a Registered Nurse – Surgery (RN‑Surgery) to provide direct perioperative nursing care. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team across all age groups.

The position requires Wisconsin RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and preferably 1 year of perioperative experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient-centered nursing care based on standards and the nursing process.
• Administers medications and treatments per policy.
• Documents all aspects of patient care clearly and accurately.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to the team, patient, and family.
• Coordinates with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educates patients and families on procedures, recovery, and post-op care.
