Carle Health is hiring a Health Care Technician to support licensed nursing staff and care for patients’ personal needs. You will communicate with departments, visitors and staff, and serve as a unit liaison under RN supervision.

The role requires BLS within 30 days, a high school diploma or GED, and prior CNA experience or completion of Carle's HCT In Training Program. Medical training and nursing clinical exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA)
• HS Diploma or GED required
• Worked as CNA within past 24 months; completed Carle's HCT In Training Program
• Relevant medical military training
• CNA certification
• At least one semester of nursing clinical experience

Responsabilités

• Assists with maintenance of unit supplies: stocking nurse servers, cleaning instruments, ordering supplies.
• Collects data on assigned patients as directed by RN and ensures accurate documentation.
• Demonstrates competency in skills: measurement of vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, I&O recording.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Prepares patients for transportation and/or transport.
• Care and maintenance of ostomies.
• Assists with patient mobility under RN guidance.
• Removes sutures and staples from surgical incisions; completes post-operative vitals.
