Qualifications

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one semester of nursing clinical experience.
• Worked as CNA within past 24 months.
• Completion of Carle's HCT In Training Program.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Relevant medical military training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unit supplies, stocking, cleaning instruments and equipment.
• Collect data on assigned patients and document accurately.
• Demonstrate competency in vital signs, glucose monitoring, intake/output.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Prepare patients for transportation or transport them.
• Perform delegated tasks and report abnormal findings to RN.
• Hourly rounding on assigned patients and update white board.
• Provide emotional support to patients and family members.
• Document care delivery per unit expectations.
