Job summary

Clearway Pain Solutions in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in both office and ASC settings. You will enter patient intake and provider orders into the EMR, request medical records, and support patient flow throughout the day.

Responsibilities include assisting pre-op, recovery, and discharge, maintaining HIPAA compliance and infection control, and coordinating with nursing staff to obtain vitals and lab results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including customer service.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient intake and provider orders into the EMR and request medical records.
• Assist in bringing patients to pre-op, recovery and discharge.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and infection control standards.
• Update and verify patient information, medical history, and IDs.
• Support patient flow and assist nursing staff with vital signs and procedures.
• Prepare sterile fields, instruments, and supplies for procedures and assist providers as needed.
• Ensure rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with safety standards.
