Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Care unit. This full-time night shift offers 36 hours per week, with every third weekend and holiday group commitment.

You will join a Magnet-designated team delivering compassionate, high‑quality care in a collaborative environment. You will provide and coordinate patient care using the nursing process, applying evidence-based practice and strong communication to ensure a safe environment and excellent patient

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to ensure safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead with evidence-based practice and effective communication to create a safe environment and positive patient experience.
